Chayton just had his latest Checkup. He is now over 15 pounds and 26+ inches tall. He is in the 75% percentile in height and 50% for weight and head measurement. So it is looking like he is going to be tall like Daddy. We also got the go ahead to start trying some cereals and progressing to real food. We are going to try and attempt to make some of our own foods and not just use all commercial pre made stuff. I have been doing some reading on this and it doesn't seem that difficult and is very beneficial.

We are not really sure he is saying it with intenet but Chaytons first word seems to be Dada. It comes out clear as a bell

My first tooth has arrived  I've been a little cranky but tolerating it ok. I am sure there will be more coming shortly.

I am now Standing up while holding on to things. I poke my head up out of my bed to see what's going on and to make sure Mommy and Daddy know I am awake.  It look s like I will be tall like Daddy so far I am still way ahead of average in height.

March 2007

Well I am not a very creative writer so not much has been posted on this page. Just thought I would put  a little something here to let family and friends now how Chayton is doing. He does something to amaze us everyday it seems. He is walking and running quite well now and his vocabulary is ever growing. the latest seems to be "hot" However he tends to whisper a lot of his words which we cannot really figure out why. He seems to figure things out very quickly, we watched him try to light a candle the other day with one of those long lighters. We have no idea how he even knew that is what it was for. He must have seen one of us light them once. Good thing for childproof lighters and we will be making sure these are out of reach from now on.

We also got him his very first pet, a hamster that mommy named lilly, she is a tiny little thing and Chayton loves to watch her run around in the wheel. Our Kitty Emma also loves to watch her run around in the Hamtrac (uh oh)! If you've never heard of or seen a hamtrac, google it. LOL

Mommy has also been working with him on Baby sign language to try and help with the frustration of not having a huge vocabulary yet. He seems to have down more and all done.

Last week he got his first real haircut. he looks a little different without the baby curls but it was time. the only cut before this was when daddy trimmed the hair around his ears with his trimmers.

June 2007

Well I think we are about 25 pounds now and although not quite 2 we think the terrible two's have begun already. Chayton is getting into everything. He doesn't seem to have developed an interest into anything in particular he just want s to touch and feel and play with everything he can find.

I guess this is all just part of the learning process. Learning by curiosity and discovery I guess. Chayton had his first day out on the boat with Mommy and Daddy and he slept most of the time. Just like his father. My dad (Grandpa) will tell me "you used to do the same exact thing". I guess liking Naps runs in the family. Now if it weren't for those darn mornings!!! :) There should be some pictures of the day out on the boat soon.

July 2007

Chaytons Vocabulary is quickly expanding and his curiosity grows every day. We are constantly chasing him around I think we will make a new exercise video called chase the toddler :)  don't touch this don't touch that, get out of there, put that back, leave that alone Etc lol. No wonder we are exhausted. We are soon going to start Potty training and trying to get rid of the last few bottles. He's also become quite attached to blankey and binky these are his two favorite things.
